Weekend Sees 123 Additional COVID-19 Cases In Lane County
The county has averaged about 19 new cases per day over the last 14 days, according to a 14-day moving average graph updated weekdays by the local health department.
The agency also reported six additional deaths, bringing the state's death toll to 1,055.
The number of cases and deaths doesn't mean they all occurred in the last 24 hours. "No children were identified as a contact", information from the health department indicates.
The 21-day rolling average for new cases, as of Monday, was 1,191.
Activity levels ebbed to the moderate level of 63.1 in the week ending August 31, raising hopes of more in-person education, but case numbers began rising after the Labor Day weekend, boosting activity levels from 64.07 on September 7 to 69.4 on September 14; 76.15 on September 21; 86.18 on September 28; and 95.6 on October 6.
The seven-day rolling average for testing was 3.7%.
Over 3.65 million coronavirus tests have been performed in OH since the spring. "But we do need to give credit to all of those who have worked hard to keep covid-19 from our long term care facilities amid incredible pressure", says MDH Director of Health Facilities Complaints Lindsey Krueger.
